I have been in pursuit of effective mathematics teaching most of my life, In fact I have found that learning to become an effective teacher may be harder than if I had tried to become a professional mathematician or engineer. What I am trying to say is that I have a long way to go. Malcolm Gladwell says it takes 10,000 hours to be extraordinary at something. In my experience, that is not enough time to develop into an outstanding math teacher. That is in my case anyway.
I work hours into to the night on my own time creating videos, smart board lessons, and Geogebra worksheets. I will slowly start placing these files here. My ultimate goal is to create a math text of sorts. A math text that is based on my interpretation of what high school math currently is and what I think mathematics in the classroom should be. Stay tuned and as I have time I will start posting. Hopefully it is useful to both student and teacher alike.
